yeah i'm playing! its a great game. anyone know when they'll release a roster update? i had to manually take out jamie lundmark and mccauly from the kings roster.

Usually the roster update comes out in OCtober after the 1st week of the season when most of the them rosters are set.

It would be nice to see a helmet fly off on a good hit now and then, but over all what a killer game!!!!!

I loved playing it for the first few days, until it decided to start crashing my computer. Even after DLing the newest drivers. Guess I'll just have to go buy an Xbox now.

I was on tour with my band, and just got back in town yesterday. I bought the game right when i got home. I updated my roster completely, Manually. Clouts to Manchester, Aubin to the Kings, If no one else figured this out... Look up BRADY MURRAY's bio online. Release Marty Murray from manchester to the Free Agent List. Go to the edit player mode, turn him into Brady Murray, and leave his name as default (don't touch his last name) Only change his height weight age all that stuff, you can fix his attributes too. Then sign him to the kings off of the free agent list. Now you can complete your lines.

Its a great game, but it keeps crashing on me (360). I went to replace the disc, and it crashed during the second game with the new disc. :(

All my other games run smooth as silk.

Has anyone tried NHL 2k8? I'm curious to get a review of that version

Am I the only one who hates the fact that this is the same game they released in '03?

Don't get me wrong, I love this game and have played it every year... but they've only barely updated it each year. I'm only familiar with the PC version, so my opinion is based on that version only. The only thing that's changed over the years have been the menus and the addition of Dynasty Mode (which is awesome). This year they added the salary cap but nothing else really groundbreaking.

It just blows my mind that they can update the rosters and sell us a new game each year...

Anyone else?

I usually get tired of EA's crappy rosters pretty quickly and do a fantasy draft. I enjoy having Alex Ovechkin on the Kings.

When good rosters become available, I'll use those though.

Matt - NHL 08 is a huge improvement over 07. Heck, the graphical clarity is much better than FSN!

PSP, Tweener and Rob, seriously. If you don't like the thread don't read it. If you have breaking news we can talk about, send it to Matt or Rich. Last I checked, news is scarce with the team in Europe.

Playing as much as I can on my PS3, but only at about 15 games and the Kings are 5-6-4. It's hard to play defense and check players with the puck, though it is very easy for them to body check me. I use Cloutier more than LaBarabera because 81-76 player rating is a no brainer on which goalie to use. Of course I created myself and playing a first line winger at almost a point a game. Other than that, Kopitar leads the team in points, Cammalleri with goals, O'Sullivan just isn't cutting it and I've put him on the third line. Jack Johnson is so speedy and has good puck control. I don't know how or why but Willsie has 5 goals already, 2nd on the team and is on the fourth line. I can't explain it. Graphics and gameplay are stellar and I dig Gary Throne and Bill Clement calling the shots. 2K7 had its moments but in the end I gotta go EA sports hockey forever.

I'm 29. Pretty much the only way I can score goals is on one-timers setting someone up in the crease or slap shots going across the middle. I got to a shootout once and it was just pathetic. I haven't been playing multiplayer, just doing the season. Good to see others playing, though I expected no less from obvious hockey fanatics!

Landon: Here's an idea that worked for me: trade Cloutier and a 3rd for Nicklaus Backstrom. It worked for me. Clouts is ranked higher than I thought and this trade went down without hesitation. Since then, my Kings have been playing much better!

KingsCast: That's funny, I made the same trade except Cloutier went to MN for Backstrom and thier 2nd pick. Since then My kings are 5-0 And a check of the injured List already has Cloutier Out with a broken foot.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Alex, I have the ps3 version and it freezes on me once in a while. My brother has the 360 and it freezes on him all the time, he can hardly move up on the calendar.

Sorry NHL 2k8 is a better game.
