Two more cuts
Richard Petiot was sent to Manchester and Wayne Simmonds to juniors. So it looks like Thomas Hickey will stay with the team through Vegas.

I'm not sure about sending Petiot to Manchester.. I was at the game tonight, and I thought he looked excellent. What about you, Rich, or Matt? Any opinion on this?
Agreed. Petiot looked good.
Dallman, Johnson and Modry all played average. Petiot and Boyle were the best D out there.
I feel Petiot is physically ready to contribute at the professional level. Although, I have a feeling management would like him to get a few games in at the Minor League level after the injury last year. I think he will be the first D-man call-up when that time comes. When he does, I hope he sticks. I like what I have seen so far.
hmmm...I was at the game and thought Petiot and Boyle looked mediocre at best. I don't think either are ready for the big club
Petiot looked OK, but he's still not top-6 material for the Kings. Missing all but the last 13 games of Manchester's season last year due to that knee injury he suffered during the 2006 rookie tournament really hurt him.
Dallman and Modry were poor at best. Modry was a pylon in the defensive zone when he left the Kings and nothing has changed. Dallman looked lost most of the time. Boyle is clearly hesitant and indecisive when he has the puck, but what do you expect of a defenseman who has just coverted to the position? Johnson, by a long shot, was the Kings' best defenseman in the game, and even Crawford thought so. Johnson led all players in the game with 33;32 of ice time. Vlasic for San Jose was next with 27:28. That should tell you something about Johnson on Tuesday night.
Big Dallman supporter here, but last night... jeez, I thought the Post Game Wrap Up would include a plane ticket to New Hampshire for his "efforts." He was just awful. Petiot was a likely send down from a numbers perspective, as well as from the standpoint that he needs more game conditions after missing so much time last year. He'll be a top pairing guy down there and play 20 minutes a game, and that can only bode well for evaluating his worth down the line. Obviously with guys like Piskula so high on Crawford's mental depth chart, Petiot has to really take that leadership role down in Manchester and create a little more internal competition for the Coach's love.
