Cirque Du Soliel performance
There's going to be a Cirque Du Soliel performance on the ice at Staples Center during the first intermission tonight. Something for people to look forward to even if the game turns into a copy of the last three ...

Just a heads up, it's during the second intermission , not the first.
"As part of the Kings-Bruins game presented by Cirque du Soleil, a pre-game puck drop will take place with both team’s captains and a Cirque performer, and a special second intermission performance featuring a Cirque du Soleil performer will take place over center ice."
This almost writes itself.
Here is to hoping the only clown performance is between periods.........
The Kings' Dallas act was like a bad circus.
Well, hopefully we'll have Ivanans vs Chara round 2 to look forward to. Chara broke Ivanans' orbital bone with a cheap shot two years ago. Hopefully Raitis can exact some revenge.
Rinkrat, the Kings sent out another press release after that one stating that the performance had been changed to the first intermission.
for what it's worth, i saw Cirque du Soleil down at the forum a couple of weeks ago. i've never seen it before and it was excellent! highly recommend. i guess their promoting it at staples tonight?
Hope there isn't a clown performance during the first, second and third period...
"Hopefully Raitis can exact some revenge."
Hmm, maybe Ivanan's lack of fighting so far this season was saved for tonight against Chara!
Many years ago, I was invited to speak to Tim Liewickie at the season ticket holders meeting in regards to the fact that clean heckling seemed to be outlawed at Staples Center. In speaking to Tim and mentioning that heckling was a part of the sport, I proceeded to ask if he thought that some Kings ticket buyers think that this is an opera instead of a hockey game.
His reply at the time was 'No, heckling was a part of the sport and, quite frankly, an advantage at times.' He even joked about making a T.J. Simers section in the back corner, upper deck of the building for those who had a problem with the noise.
Apparantely the opera lovers have changed things....
Next, the blue lines will be sponsored by the Blue Man Group and the redline by Tampax.
Sad.....
John Roy...you seem to forget that there will be four clowns out there performing all three periods...and they all have stripes...
