Frolov-O'Sullivan-Nagy line
These three played together against Vancouver and have practiced together the past two days.
``They are three good offensive players and players who have pretty good, dynamic offensive packages,'' Crawford said. ``The more that they get used to each other, you'd have to believe that they can form a pretty good unit.''
Crawford would like those three to step up and form a strong second scoring line so he can keep Cammalleri on the first line with Kopitar and Brown.
``Them playing how they are capable of playing would go hand in hand with our team playing well,'' Crawford said.

The Kings could roll a very balanced attack with four lines who can provide aggressive forechecking and a strong puck possession game.
The lines that were used in Vancouver worked well, and I hope they are kept intact for the time being.
In case there are those who were wondering, the line combinations that night were:
Cammalleri-Kopitar-Brown
Nagy-O'Sullivan-Frolov
Calder-Handzus-Willsie
Ivanans-Armstrong-Zeiler
Ivanans and Thornton are interchangeable. I think Thornton should be in the lineup more often than Ivanans though, he provides more tangibles on the ice than Raitis.
I like this line. I just hope that Crawford keeps his word this time and plays them more than a couple of periods.
I'm predicting that these three players along with Handzus and Visnovsky are about to turn things around and put some solid numbers on the board.
I hope Fro doesn't get traded. This player is stacked with talent.
The Kings may be on the verge of making of making other team lives a "living hell". If only the goaltending situation stabilizes.
This line could work, but how long before Crow mixes them up again? He's yet to keep any line together, with the exception of the top line, for more than a few games.
I guess I wonder why you wouldn't want to break up Cammi and Kopitar. Yes, you know they are working well together, but both have drive and have demonstrated they can make things happen.
If you have Kopitar on a line making the guys he plays with better already (say Brownie and put Frolov there with the two of them), why not take a guy like Cammi, who you can clearly see has the desire to make things happen by himself, and center the second line around him?
Having both of the guys who are really showing motivation and drive on the same line seems to reduce the amount of time your opponents ultimately have to deal with motivated offensive threats.
By what do I know...
I agree with you dbushik. I would like to see Cammi and Kopi broken up to something like this:
Frolov-Kopitar-Brown
O'Sully-Cammi-Nagy
Calder-Handzus-Willsie
Ivanans-Armstrong-Zeiler
I think that would give both lines the biggest boost and open up the scoring a little more.
Whatever happened to Handzus and Nagy being together on a line? During pre-season everyone spoke of the great synergy they had with one another in the past. Have they been played together for any length of time?
Handzus is still showing signs of recovery from his knee injury. He's a step behind and can't log 2nd line ice time quite yet, so it makes sense not to have him with Nagy as of this time.
This looks like a great line, good speed and touch-up on the puck. Intangibles? Nagy must skate stronger, same for Fro who seems to have disappeared this season. Sully is doing great; he has really found himself this season, on offense, PK and a good second line center. Let's keep our fingers crossed, if this line can really get it going, it will take pressure off of Cammy's line and open it up for Zeus and company. The team has a golden opportunity to show what it has againts the Preds after having played so well in Western Canada. Let's hope it keeps on going. Anyone realize that with the exception of the Boston and Dallas games (which weren't even close; Boston got totally out of hand, Dallas was probably our worst game of the season), this team could easily be .500 right now??
Go Kings!
I just hope Crawford lets his
lines "get used to each other". I can't help but think part of our problems come from his constant line changes.
