Handzus quotes
On play of second line ...
``We're not playing well. We got to pick it up and help the team because the first line is playing great and scoring goals. If we have a second attack too, we would have won more games than one.''
On if second line is still trying to form chemistry: ``There's no excuse. We had all training camp. Those two games we didn't play well and we lost. We got to get better right away.''

Good for 'Zus. I like his attitude, and have every confidence that he will anchor an effective scoring line.
Too bad I'm not nearly as confident about the Kings shoring up their porous defense anytime soon.
Rick,
Like you, I like 'Zus' attitude, and I believe that he can anchor an effective second scoring line. Some combination of Nagy, Frolov, or Calder around him would work nicely.
However, I disagree about your lack of confidence in the Kings' Defense. Only 2 of the 6 regulars could be considered deffensive liabilities: Modry & (for the time being) Johnson. Jack will undoubtedly get better with time, and I think at the end of the season, we might be praising the signings of Stuart & Preissing as 2 of DL's best moves in 2007.
In other words, have faith, my friend. . .
