Key stretch upcoming ...
The Kings have some momentum now with two victories in three games, and some of the players who took heat for the early struggles are beginning to play better. Now the team won't leave California again for nearly a month. There's a four-game homestand against Nashville, Dallas, Edmonton and Columbus, then a game at San Jose, then home games against San Jose and Dallas, one at Anaheim, and one home against the Ducks and then Phoenix. That's 10 consecutive games inside the state. The team has today off, resuming practice Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Oh, great - another prime oportunity for the Kings to become complacent and lazy again. Can't Uncle Timmy book a quick swing through Japan or something just to keep them on their toes?
dude, be quiet and be positive for a change.
seriously. with an attitude like that, why bother even following the team?
OK, I have a question. It may be ignorant but it's been on my mind for a while so I thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone wants to comment.
Since the season began I've read more than a few quotes from Rich's interviews with Mark Crawford and others where the interviewee comments about a lack of effort on the part of this or that player (Nagy, Handzus, Fro etc..) The question is HOW, with a new season, in front of thousands of fans, playing a professional sport on TV for millions of dollars, would ANYONE not put out maximum effort?!
Is "lack of effort" code for "not good enough"? I watched two years ago as the Kings started well but clearly stopped playing as the season wound down, but for key players to do this so early seems like a major character problem.
Am I overstating this?
I agree that negative attitudes aren't fun to read, but with the Kings history over the past 15 years, can you blame him?
This stretch may well ultimately decide if this team is a playoff team or not.
Go Kings Go!
Yeah Pierroth, be positive. The Kings are 3-6, it could be worse...we could be Atlanta. Here's our chance to finally win two in a row! I don't think the Kings have been able to do that since that dreaded Andy Murray coached the team.
I agree with Dorian and Dave!
We need more POSITIVE fans instead of the "doom and gloom" crowd!
Ottawa Sun claims Lombardi is shopping Brown or Frolov for a goaltender. This coming on the heels of their best game in weeks.
I guess you guys missed the sarcasm in the second sentence.
Ah yes, the dreaded Andy Murray....the same Andy Murray who lead the Kings to their last playoff appearance. Seen anyone else do it since he left? Think Crow can take the Kings to the playoffs? By the way, what's St. Louis's record right now? Better than the Kings?? Enuf said.
St. Louis has gotten off to a quick start, but so did the Kings when Andy Murray was their coach. It's a long season, and his all-out coaching style tends to wear players down. Remember the Kings' 11-game losing streak to end the year just prior to the lockout? That team just simply ran out of gas.
Let's see where the Blues stand in April. My money's on the Kings to finish ahead of them.
