Blues 5, Kings 3

An empty-net goal by Mayers with 46.5 seconds left will clinch the victory for the Blues. The Kings have four shots on goal in this period, one of which was a harmless dump-in.

It's now a final...

Other than the Brown-Kopitat-Cammy line, I didn't see any other line out there with chemistry.
Coach needs to figure something out or else.

I didn't get to watch most of the game but I assume that there were lots of line changes (or that there usually are).

Mostly I'm just curious as to why Nagy doesn't get to play that many minutes. I'd assume it's because he doesn't do PK but I'm still kind of confused as to why he never seems to get more than 12 minutes a game.

I agree. With all this offensive talent, crawford should be fired.

Way to leave your goalie out to dry, again. I get the feeling that goaltending is not the issue here, it's everything else. What a lackluster effort in the 3rd. Completely disorganized and scrambling like chickens with their heads cut off in the defensive zone. Call up Klemm! Where's the D?

Bernier did well, except there were too may other goalies in from of him. The big question is, when Andy Murray was the King's coach, the Kings had a hard time sustaining full pressure over a whole game. Now in his second year as coach Crawford seems to have the same problem, the team can't sustain pressure and it doesn't look like they had any jump. What is up with them? The Blues beat them to the puck most of the time. Looks to be another long season...

Finally, a few of you agree with me that there's a problem with these stupid and pitiful line combinations.
The problem is that Crawford won't recognize it. In his his diluted mind, this coach thinks he's perfect.

I think the biggest problem tonight was how many stupid penalties the Kings took. They were almost penalized a full period worth of penalty killing time... You can't be on the penalty kill for 1/3 of the game and hope to eek out with a win. All but 1 of the 4 goals on Bernier were defensive problems and faults, they really fell apart in that third period.

Frolov just does not look comfortable playing with Calder and Armstrong. I think he would have alot more chemistry with Handzus& Nagy.
O'sullivan needs to removed from the 4th line, and paired up wth some offensive linemates who can set him up.
Finally, send Ivanans and Zeiler to Manchester.
ONE WAY!!!!!!

I don't really think it was the line combinations that were the issue last night. The players out there just didn't seem to give much effort and played a really lackluster game. They were making mistakes that a seasoned team should not be making (like not connecting on passes, coughing up the puck, etc.). The team looked horrible out there.

Agree with above, Fro just doesn't look comfortable with Armstrong & Calder at all. I think he'd probably do better with Nagy and Handzus as well, more speed and definitely more skill.
