About the bloggers
Rich Hammond has covered the Kings, on a full-time or part-time basis, since the 2000-01 season. He was the beat writer for the entire John Torchetti era and has witnessed Bob Miller singing country music in a Nashville honky-tonk bar. A native of Los Angeles, Rich has worked at the Daily News since 1999 and also serves as the paper's deputy sports editor. E-mail Rich at rich.hammond@dailynews.com.
Jill Painter joined the Daily News in 2000 and during the last eight years she's covered the Dodgers, Cal State Northridge, UCLA, Kings, golf and everything in between. Even though she's from Colorado, she still freezes in the Staples Center press box but always manages to thaw her fingers in time to make deadline. E-mail Jill at jill.painter@dailynews.com.

GREAT WIN! They are clearing the puck from their zone soooooo much better over the last two weeks. JLB!!!
Who's #2 Sharks or Stars? I've seen conflicting reports on this.
Dallas is technically in second because the Kings have more wins. Sharks are now in third
Just got home from the game! The Kings are a different team than they where a few weeks ago. Great D, great shooting and how about that #12! He finally scored and big. It looked like the players where trying to set him up for the hat trick the last few minutes too! Great team work all around!
#12 is gonna be amazing... everyone was sceptical for a long time about him but not me.. I've know his potential for a long time and new hes starting to shine.. GO SULLY....

Lets not get too crazy. O'Sullivan had a great game and Labarbera was ON, but the Kings did not play "Great D". A win is a win and we owe it all to Labs and Patty O, though Johnson is coming along nicely!
leave it to a guy name "Wrigleyville King" to be the pessimist. Poor guy probably has not idea what it feels like to win or be competitive.
