More Murray vs. Murray

Here's what Marc Crawford had to say about the impending matchup between Brady Murray's Kings and Andy Murray's St. Louis Blues. As opposing coaches go, Crawford and Murray are known to be fairly close:

``I talked to (Brady) today. I just said, `It's probably harder on your dad than it is on you.' I've got a son that plays hockey, not nearly on the same level as him, but I can imagine, as a father, that his dad is going to be pretty proud of Brady playing in the National Hockey League.

``Knowing Brady's dad and knowing Brady's mom, I think Brady's mom is probably the one that's in the real tough spot. But I would imagine, if it was my situation, my wife would be cheering for my son. I think that's probably the way this is too. I think Mrs. Murray is probably anxious to see Brady do really well. She's got a lot of confidence in her husband and her husband has done a great job in St. Louis and he did a great job with the Kings. ... He's a very, very competent NHL coach.

``Brady, on the other hand, is still learning the game and still learning how to be a National Hockey League player. For both parents, they want to see that he keeps moving in the right direction and keeps learning along the way.''

What a waste to see this guy on the 4th line, nice job Crawford.

Dear Mr.Crawford,

Please only have 3 lines so Anthony is happy. He doesn't seem to be able to handle anyone being on the 4th line because everyone on the team is to good to be on it.

So basically, Crawford's saying, "Andy, let us win. Your son deserves it!"

well, whatever works, right?

Oedipus on ice. May Brady do his mother proud, in spades. And may papa be left shaking his head, with a secret murmur in his heart: "Atta boy, son. Good job." Here's to familial drama in the NHL! Go Brady Rex! Go Kings!

Andy Murray is a class act. He gave 100% as the coach of the Kings and bled purple during his years in LA. I wish him the best of luck in St. Louis, as long as they don't beat us out of the 8th playoff spot ;)
