Murrays update
Brady Murray said he didn't get to see his father after Saturday's game but he talked to Andy briefly over the phone.
``He was on the plane so it was a short converation, but you could tell he was pretty happy with the outcome. ''
Brady said he'd probably talk to his father again to hear what he thought of his play after Andy views film of the game.

Nice game Brady, way to hustle....keep it up.
I know this is off topic, but I live in Reno Nevada now and the only way i get to watch the Kings play is on the center ice package. I guess the cable companies (mine is Charter) and the NHL are still negotiating a contract. It's very fustrating because I live in an apartment and cant have satelite and Center Ice Online really sucks, so fuzzy you can't even see the puck or even make out the time left in the period. Rich I was wondering if you had some inside info on this, or if anyone else does because the cable company isn't telling me much. Thanks Rich,
Chazz
Chazz,
My Cable provider (Cox communications) was late in signing their contract for NHL Centre Ice, and glancing out through the "blogosphere," it seems as though other cable providers were late, too. And, while keeping in mind that this is only a rumor, I found something on the following site that said Charter will only be offering the Center Ice package to customers living within 100 miles of a NHL market:
http://www.hockeybuzz.com/boards/thread.php?thread_id=26537
Chazz and 619 Kings Fan:
Based upon your inquiries, and as a Charter customer myself, I called to inquire further based upon what someone said on Hockeybuzz in the post you quoted.
I got a fairly agitated customer service representative who has been taking angry calls from hockey fans all day, quite literally.
He said that the NHL is insisting that the NHL Network be included in the basic package and Charter refuses to have all customers pay for a service that not all want.
I told him that in my area, Burbank, there are no pro packages offered, not just hockey, only college basketball and football.
Since I was far less angry than prior calls, his comment (not my conjecture), he promised to do research and let me know by email what is true since someone posted on hockeybuzz that the only reason they couldn't get it is b/c they were 300 miles away from a NHL city.
If I get a response, I will be happy to report back here, or you can write me on hockeybuzz.
And thanks both of you for writing, it at least gave me some answers I didn't have before. :-)
thanks guys if anyone gets any info just post it on the latest blog here (I hope you don't mind Rich) I read this blog everyday.
Chazz,
I can't speak for Charter but, like Cox, Comcast here in Salt Lake City just finished signing their contract for Center Ice as well (first time they've offered it, actually.) I was able to sign up for the season back on October 1st.
If Charter hasn't signed a deal by now, I'd be surprised if one gets done at all. Press your cable company for an answer - for some reason they tend to be reluctant to give a definative answer. My guess is they are afraid of losing customers to satellite, but what do I know?
Not that it helps, but I feel for you, bro. Until this season, I haven't been able to properly follow the Kings since I left Phoenix two years ago. NHL.com highlights just don't cut it...

@Chazz
HAHA, I live in Reno Nevada now too :P and the only way I can keep up with my Kings is through NHL Center Ice Online... I have been hounding Charter day-in and day-out, they even show freakin' Center Ice on the schedule but they still haven't completed their deal and can't tell me when they will so I just broke down and got the online version... It is better than nothing.
I talked to charter today, and they said they will definatly have center ice eventually and advertise it when the deal is done, the only thing they're negotiating now is a cheaper price since we missed the first week. The online free preview is over so I say jusy get it done already. ps Center Ice online sucks. If they had even semi good picture I would get it. I hate not being able to celebrate a goal until after the anouncer says score. The picture is that bad. I called them too and they said they were working on making it better. I guess it's NHL radio until then. The Kings are a +160 (the betting line) tomorrow so go Kings!!
