The last time the Kings won four in a row was in March of 2006.

This was the first two-goal game in Patrick O'Sullivan's young career.

Jason LaBarbera made a season-high 34 saves and has now stopped 123 of his last 127 shots against (.969 save percentage). He stopped all 15 shots in the third period. He was named the No. 1 star for the third consecutive game.

Ladislav Nagy has five points in the past four games, Anze Kopitar eight points in the past eight games and Lubomir Visnovsky six points in the last five.

The Kings were outshot 35-31. Michael Cammalleri led the Kings with five shots.

John Zeiler led the Kings with seven hits in just over seven minutes on the ice.

Jack Johnson spent 23:36 on the ice, most on the team.

Johnson & Labarbera were the best players on the ice today.
I believe that JJ has a good shot at winning the Calder Trophy as the best rookie. He's that talented.
There'e gonna be plenty more 2 goal games by Sully before this year is up.

Rich - I heard Bob give that stat over the air of Jason saving 123 of the last 127. Where is he getting those numbers? For the last five games he has now saved 117 of the last 121.

Oct. 18: SA - 11; GA - 0 (entered in relief)
Oct. 19: SA - 28; GA - 2
Oct. 23: SA - 17; GA - 0
Oct. 25: SA - 30; GA - 1
Oct. 27: SA - 35; GA - 1

Are they pulling last 6 shots against from the game on Oct. 10 where Jason got shelled for 5 goals? His totals for that game were:

SA - 27; GA - 5

Sorry Matt. I should have addressed the previous post to you.

I pity the fool on the receiving end of JMFJ's first open ice body check, he was looking for it against dallas and again tonight...

Yes, they are taking the last six from that game. They don't really play with his current stretch but they pad his stats a little.

Johnson definitely has the talent to win the Calder, the issue is that about 6 other guys do too. the other johnson, toews, kane, another staal, cogliano, gagner, backstrom, maybe even guys like tlusty and bryan little.

but i am loving watching him outperform the other 5 night after night right now, and it's not because the other 5 aren't any good either!

jj will have an especially difficult time winning the calder, given his location on the west coast and the fact that his numbers won't be fantastic this year. sadly, we can pretty much forget it.

Agree with Dave about the Calder. However, as good as he is, let's not take for granted that Johnson is benefitting from the Kings finally having a full rank of experienced defensemen, thanks to the addition of Preissing and Stuart, and Johnson isn't being spread too thinly.

No one's gonna be mentioned for the Norris in that lineup, but as unit, there are no soft areas in the Kings defense for the first time in way too many years. I mean, even Modry is playing reasonably well these days. It's kinda scary.

JJ keeps getting better and better.

And so does LaBarbera. I really noticed the amount of rebounds off saves has gone done a whole lot.

Right now, this Team is on fire.

Ooops! The above should read "has gone down a whole lot".

One of the dumbest trades made by a team was the Carolina Hurricanes trading Jack Johnson to the Kings for nothing.
