Quote of the night

Jim Fox noted on the telecast that tonight is the 34th anniversary of Bob Miller's first broadcast with the Kings, a 3-0 loss to Chicago at the Forum. Jim said, ``You've come a long way since then.'' Bob's response? ``Maybe not. The Kings haven't scored tonight either.''

I can feel Bob's frustration with the King's effort tonight. He seemed a bit uninterested in Jim's mention of Bob's first ever announcing job in 1973. He probably is tired of seeing the same thing he has seen for many seasons now; mediocre play and a 4 goal deficit by the third period. Rob Blake is just not getting it done tonight. I hope he, along with alot of other King players, have much better to offer as this season goes along...

Bob's the best. 34 years of the best play by play man in hockey is a wonderful treat. Too bad the Kings haven't let Bob tell us that they have won the Cup.
