No claim yet
It's been indicated to me that if the Kings do decide to put a claim in on Bryzgalov, it won't take place until tomorrow morning, shortly before the deadline.
It's sort of a game of ``chicken,'' a situation like this. Let's say a team such as Phoenix might be on the fence about claiming Bryzgalov. But if they know the Kings are interested, keeping him away from the Kings might provide the impetus to grab him. That's purely a hypothetical, but it's one reason the Kings would be unlikely to come out and say, ``We want him,'' even if they do.

If I'm Calgary... I definitely make the claim. Kiprusoff and Keenan are an interesting pair, and the myriad of untested backups that the Flames have dressed this season spells trouble if something were to happen to Kipper.
Did Burke just like feel bad for PHX consistently getting shelled 5 and 6 to nothing or what, I would be thoroughly surprised if he ends up anywhere but WSH or PHX. which would hopefully mean hes a King.
If you look at the 10 team ahead of the kings not too many really need a goalie.
The kings would be crazy not to make a claim
An I missing something here? Why wouldn't the Ducks trade Bryzgalov and get something for him in exchange???
ethman - burke tried but couldn't get anything of value in return apparently
Perhaps they're dumping salary for the return of Neids.
Bryzgalov has been claimed by Phoenix
Phoenix got him.
