This brings up a great suggestion...

For those who can't afford NHL Center Ice, or if it's not offered by their carrier, there is an alternative.

XM radio offers full NHL coverage, including a 24 hour talk station, and radio coverage of every game from every market.

I got my XM radio for $5 at Circuit City (it's their original model), and their service is very inexpensive.

I originally got it because the area I live in has very poor radio reception of the local stations.

Then I discovered their NHL coverage and was even happier.

I just got a home kit, so I have XM both in my apartment and in my car.

So check it out if you're so inclined.

well if you can't afford center ice and can't watch otherwise i'd assume you're probably already listening to the games for free at nhl.com.
