Blake on game misconduct
He wouldn't fill us in on what he said or why. He said it was a combination of things. Guys around the locker room said he was mad at the refs allowing players to crash into Aubin with LaBarbera already out and a crosscheck he received that wasn't called. Blake said it was the first time in his 18-year career that he's received a game misconduct for something he said.
``I probably shouldn’t have said anything,'' Blake said. ``It was not a very good decision by me. You just don’t put yourself in that position to let that happen. That was my mistake. You put your team in jeopardy, put them down to five defenseman and put yourself short-handed too. There’s nothing good that can come out of it. Just keeping my mouth shut would have been the best decision.''

true, he should not have said anything, but the referee needed to call that cross check too
...but isn't that what a captain and a veteran player should be doing in behalf of his teammates?
The complaint has been that the vets have not stepped up to help motivate and fire-up the rest of the players so even though this went against the Kings, it's a positive gesture...
I hope that this doesn't deter Blakey from complaining to the refs when warranted.. He just needs to keep his language in the PG-13 range...
Hey Blake fired me up! I think that's great. Next time I get crosschecked I'm just gonna start shooting pucks around and yelling "F YOU" to the ref so I can shower and get home early. Very inspirational move by Robby!
like kingfan said its about time he showed some type of captain in him. i rather he get fired up over stuff then just skate along like nothing happend he is the Captain of this team finally starting to act like it
KingFan4ever nailed it right on the head. Seeing some fire from the veterans is a good thing.
The Ref took it too far. Ten minutes was plenty. Even the Phoenix announcers said that.
