The Kings are taking Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off for the holidays. They won't get back on the ice until the morning skate before Wednesday's game against San Jose.

Damn these guys should not be given any holidays.
Crow should have them skate every day and hope they learn to play some good hockey.
DAMN THEY SUCK
and they sure earned every minute of it.
Dear Santa Claus,
It has been a tough road this year, I know. But I have tried to be a very good boy. Please this year for christmas, I want something that could change my life, and possibly even change the world. It would bring joy to thousands, if not millions. Please Santa, this year for christmas, please bring me a notice of resignation from Mr. Crawford. It isn't much, but it sure would give my 2008 a jump start. Thanks Santa.
love,
Jesse
Oh yeah Santa. If you could get me a refund on my season tickets that would be great too. Thanks! Tell Dasher and Vixen I say hello!
They've taken a lot of days off recently. I don't think a few more will matter either way. It's amazing they even have to practice at all to play the way they do.
Good, they deserve it.
Seriously.
Everyone have a Merry Christmas!!
Everybody wish for some more wins this season...lol
Dear Santa:
This Christmas what I want is not for me, but for the Los Angeles Kings! Please give all of the players new hearts so that they may learn to try and play every game like it is there last. Please give Crawford a brain so that he may learn that his constant line juggling is not helping this team build chemistry. And finally, please give Lombardi my best wishes as I know that overall what he is doing for this organization is exactly what it needs and is long over due, even though it is painful to watch!
Thanks Rich and Matt for giving all of us fans news about our favorite team that we can't find anywhere else. And for giving us a place to discuss/vent about this team. Keep up the awesome work!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
p.s. Keep the faith and know that it only gets better from here :)
LA Kings 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Champions!!!
Dear Santa:
Make that 2 of what "LA Kings 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Champions!!!" asked for.
...I hope the boyz show up for the first game of my Holiday Pack...
Dear Jesse, LA Kings 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Champions!!, and kingskicka$$:
I know that you all have been very good little kings fans for quite a while and you all have been very patient, however due to the writers strike the elf's have been also on a walk-out so I'm sad to say that I don't think there will be a Xmas this year.
I hope you all understand.
Merry Xmas to all and to all GOOD LUCK!
HO HO HO!
Santa
p.s. Just so you know, I have to take a lot of snow down to hell before I can take care of the kings.
Happy holidays!
This...team...blows.
Dear Santa:
Make that 3 of what "LA Kings 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Champions!!!" asked for.
Also, since it looks like we probably won't win too many games again this year, do you think you might be able to put in my Christmas stocking a No. 1 draft pick for next near? I'm really not too picky, Steven Stamkos will do.
I know I'm asking a lot, but then maybe package a deal where we could land another 1st rounder for 2009 (which will probably also be a high draft pick) and land John Tavares of the Oshawa Generals. I know it's a lot to ask for, but when you look at what us poor Kings fans have had to suffer through this season, I'm sure you can find it in your heart to grant us this wish.
Oh yes, since you're feeling so generous, please return Jonathan Bernier back to his former self after having been abandoned by LA's porous defense early in the season. He's a good kid and deserves much better than he got during his short tenure here.
Last, wishing Andy Murray a wonderful season with the Blues which I'm sure he doesn't have because he's no longer with the Kings. At least he doesn't have to be subjected to watching his team play 20 minutes of hockey with St. Louis every night and knows after having watched the Kings this year it is in fact a 60 minute game......
Best wishes and Merry Christmas to all....
Talk about a bunch of Scooges. Of course the Kings deserve the time off. It's Christmas... a time to be with your family not skating drills. Do the most of you need to be visited by three ghosts tonight?
I third what LA Kings 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Champions!!! says and for the rest of you I am asking Santa for some patience. It will get better
Rich or Matt,
After the holidays, could one of you ask Lombardi this question: The call-ups from Manchester so far have been primarily to fill energy roles, why the reluctance to call up a player and plug him into the 2nd line? I'm specifically thinking of Boyle and Purcell, although even Moulson and Gauthier have offensive skills that were not utilized when they were here. Is there a feeling that demoting certain veterans to 4th line duty would lower their trade value?
Thanks alot guys and have a great holiday!
Dear Santa,
This is what I want for Christmas
- People to realize that Barbs isn't the problem around here. I mean look around the league, everyone doesn't need Hasek or Brodeur to win. If the team needs to hold the opposition under 2 goals a game to have a chance at winning, then that means there are other things which are going wrong
- A second-line center
- I think I want a big defensemen. Not more than that, but just one big guy to really set the tone. Sometimes I almost think Jack Johnson is underwhelming me...I mean I can't only really remember one big hit he's made all season...but I think he's gonna be just fine
- A team that realizes that sometimes individuals don't need to try and win the game single handedly. That's why we have these end to end LuboCookie rushes...he's just not playing comfortably.
-Fans not to yell "shoot" at a game everytime a player has a shot because more often than not they hold back to stop the puck from getting blocked. When they don't shoot they get booed. When they do shoot and it gets blocked we groan.
- As much as I want a new coach, you can't just ask for one without thinking of a replacement. That's not really a wish Santa but more like a statement.
Merry Xmas
Happy Holidays to all you King fans, Hope its a great New Year to come, again my thanks to Rich and Matt, for this website, the gift that keeps on giving!
That's confusing. I thought they've been on extended holiday since the season began.
I am really disappointed with the media in Los Angeles. No one seems to really care that the Kings for the second year in a row, are the worst team in the NHL.
A bigger deal of this needs to be made in order for changes to be made. There's no pressure from the media so nothings happing.
Kings fans are passionate, and if the media is going to represent them then it needs to be done right.
Get in there face and ask them whats going on?, What are you going to do next? Its obvious what your doing isn't working. Does someone need to be fired?
Cause us fans, we want to know, we NEED to know whats going to be done to bring back the same organization that used to be represented by the greatest hockey player to ever come through the NHL.
'All I want for christmas is the 1st overall pick, the 1st overall pick'.... Sing along everyone,
'All I want for christmas is the 1st overall pick, the 1st overall pick'
