Nagy update
Only because Joe asked. Nagy skated with the team today for the first time since leaving the Buffalo game with his hip flexor injury.
``It's feeling better but it's tough to say when I will come back because, when I push a little hard, it still bothers me. I have to be patient and not push it hard. It was my first practice so tomorrow, hopefully, it will be better. I’m going to skate and push it more and more every day.''
Honestly, who cares?
Joe does.
not this one, thats for sure.
Who the hell is Joe?
This is pretty ridiculous guys. Obviously you guys care enough to read this and then negatively respond to it.
Thanks a lot for the update Matt. Without this blog, The Kings would be the equivalent of Bill Belichik's injury sharade, like it was the KGB or something.
I for one appreciate and read all that Matt and Rich put into this blog, especially on a Sunday. These are the only legitimate guys covering the Kings. I find it ridiculous how one of the biggest market cities covers the Kings so poorly. We don't even get a pre game show anymore on Fox. I was in Atlanta recently and couldn't believe how much coverage the Thrashers got in the paper and on their local station. Kings interest seems to be going back to the pre-Gretzky days.
Don't worry NMKingsFan. Soon there will be all sorts of buzz in the local media known as the "Kopitar Kings and his Knights on the frozen pond" with Brownie, Sully, Cammy, Zeus, Frolov, Johnson, Lubo, Bernier at his side.......
Allow me to rephrase.
Honestly, who cares if Nagy comes back?
If it means Thornton or Willsie sits, I care.
How long is Nagy under contract for? And how soon can we trade him for a draft pick?
Ex-Sportswriter....Soon, soon the whole team will be traded and we'll be loaded with the "latest" up and coming All-Whatever AHL team....Sorry everyone but to be the worst in the league points wise...I honestly never believed I'd see the Kings reach that new low....Boy was I wrong. Seeing this team loose night after night is tough, really tough.
Ex sportswriter:
One year gamble on the often injured Nagy. You won't get *#%* for Nagy as far as draft picks go.
Ex-Sportswriter, until the end of this year. I see Nagy being traded at the trade deadline and hopefully he will bring at least a 3rd pick.
well whether you like him or not... he is one of the better players on this crappy team, and at this point it doesn't matter how good or bad he is supposed to be. when hes in the lineup you got a guy that the other teams coach is gotta worry about finding a defensive assignment for. what does that do for the team? thats one more player that the other coach has to use for Nagy, meaning someone on the kings is gonna get a lesser defender. the point of secondary scoring isn't necessarily to put goals in the net. its pretty darn important, but most coaches will argue that if they aren't putting any in the net, at least let them wear out the other team's defensive units so they can spread out the match-ups.
this season only, and March 1st or whenever this years TDL is.
So all we had to do was ask? I would've asked days ago if I knew that was the case. (Yes, I am one of the few people that cares if/when Nagy comes back)
For an ex sportswriter your spelling is horrible. It's "lose" not "loose". ;) Just breaking your balls.
I care when Nagy gets back. The guy is streaky but he adds some speed and some puck handling on the ice. He'll fit nicely on the second line with cammy and Fro, and hopefully all three can click.
It appeared that Crawford kept the lines mostly together on Saturday and if we can continue that trend, the lines might get some cohesion together and get something rolling. We're not making the playoffs lets face it but some success would be good to see.
I agree with the guy who said Nagy isn't worse than Thornton and/or Willsie.
Good point, Joe.
Nagy's a legit second liner and once healthy, he'll start putting up good numbers again. I just hope that MC will insert him into the lineup. Or whomever will be coaching by the time Nagy is healthy.
