« 5-0 Kings | Main | Crawford written statement »

OK, that's the clincher

Derek Armstrong scores his first goal on the season on a 5-on-3 power play. That shows all of you who have blasted Crawford for having him on the power play. Ha!

that was my first thought. crow showed us! i guess that's why we're not the coaches though, eh?

It's a fact that the Kings have won whenever Handzus scores.

Man, I don't think I've ever seen these Kings this aggressive.

Brownie is really turning into one of our best players!

Man, thank you D.L. for that 6 year extension!

I'm happy he scored but for the PP time he gets, one goal isn't too much to be celebrating. Ivanans gets NO pp time and he has 2. :|

When you have the coach pulling for you, you'll finally score one after 27 games.

No negative ways, Moriarity! I'm having too good a time here!

ok gord, i'll let you and the rest relish this rare moment

Its fun to watch but annoying at the same time. I thought we were trying for Stamkos 2008?

Now if only we could play Buffalo in San Jose for the rest of the season and we'd be set!

8-2.

gord, we are also undefeated when armstrong scores, when preissing scores mutiple goals, and when quick starts in goal. new strategy, perhaps?

Gord said:

If thats the case we're gonna have to double shift the new Armstrong Handzus and Preissing. Since he's getting good at it Sully can play D.

WOW! What a game! Where did this offensive outpuring come from?? And even Army scores a goal?!?

On a related note, I just got a phone call from Hell. They said the weather is bit crazy down there...

good plan, and we'll make lubo the other D-man. that line's awesomeness will rub off on him too.

That's a big win for the Kings. All I could think of watching this 8-goal performance is the Tom Petty song "Even the losers get lucky sometimes"

Losing 10-1 last year in Buffalo was a bitter pill to swallow all around so getting them back is pretty freakin' sweet. I was really hoping they could score more just to make sure that overrated Sabres team could have a nice plane ride to San Jose.

Congrats to JQ for his first NHL win. He made some timely saves in the 1st period and showed some poise throughout. This was a good way to debut but he is yet to be tested so the jury for me is still out on this kid.

Nice to see Handzus, Army and Jaro get some goals. Army must be feeling good right about now. And how about Preissing? I was really pulling for this guy and hopefully Crawfish quits benching him and instead focuses on Blakey and Lubo for a change..

The big question now is: Which Kings team shows up against the Coyotes? They win gutsy in San Jose and disappear against Colorado. Then hold their own and almost win against Edmonton and have nothing to offer in Phoenix. Can they shake their schizophrenic ways and salvage their season?

Gord: Kelly's Heroes, nice!

lol, like 1 pp goal in 27 games makes up for it, I could have scored that goal off that kopitar pass, it was sure great to see Army celebrate though, especially after he finished his high fives with the team he made sure to thank anze, but imagine if he missed that one pass hed still be goal less
