Most of you read the Jack Johnson story I posted yesterday from the Toronto Star on how he was going to meet with a 9-year-old kid from Toronto who plays youth hockey despite having cerebral palsy. Jack met the kid yesterday after the morning skate, talked to him and his father a bit and gave him a signed stick. Here’s what Jack had to say about the experience …

“I was just happy to try to put a smile on his face. He’s playing at a high level, up a year, and it’s remarkable for him to be doing that. I couldnt be happier for him.

“I remember when I was little kid wearing someone elses jersey and looking up to someone else. It’s pretty special to see someone else doing that for me.”
