Frolov still hurting
Alexander Frolov said he never fully healed from the right groin injury that kept him out 11 games in November and December.
``It still keeps me from doing some moves and I can feel it on some turns,'' Frolov said. ``Some days it's worse than others.''
Frolov, who started the season with a strained left groin, said he has only felt healthy for a couple games between injuries and doesn't expect to feel that way again this season.
``It's something that is going to take months of rest to fully heal,'' Frolov said. ``I just have to play through it for now. In the offseason, I'll do all the treatment and try to get it fixed.''
Kudos for giving us his best effort.
Which is more than I can say for some of his teammates.
I love his style of play. He's like a mountain on the puck. Even with 2 or 3 players on his back, he still makes a play.
I can only imagine how effective he can be if 100% healthy.
I hope he stays a King for more years to come.
I agree with anthony here. I hope Frolov stays with the Kings for a long time, a lot longer than even say Cammy. He is a nice goal scorer, especially when he is healthy, a great playmaker, and his ability to hold onto the puck in the offensive zone is just a pure asset to the Kings. He is by far their strongest player with the puck and he should never be below the top two lines of this team.
If this is Fro at less than 100% I will be very excited to see him get back to being healthy next season. The guy reminds me of Super Mario with the moves he makes and the way he is able to hold onto the puck with opposition players all over him. Obviously he is at a lower level than Lemieux and I'm not trying to suggest otherwise, but that is always what I think when I see Fro with the puck.
Kopitar, by the way, reminds me a helluva lot of Gretzky with the way he handles the puck and the ice.
Why is he playing if he is less than 100% would be my
question. It would suck if he gets hurt worse and what is the purpose?
