Jack Johnson story

If you're looking to get your mind off the losing for a bit, check out this story from the Toronto Star. It says that, before tonight's game, Jack Johnson is scheduled to meet a 9-year-old kid who is playing hockey at an elite level despite having cerebral palsy. The story says Desmond Feher-Hill is in Los Angeles to visit his aunt and will attend tonight's game. He became a Johnson fan because his father is a supporter of Michigan, where Johnson played collegiate hockey.

no other kings made the team, showing that unfortunately, lubo's cookies did not work.

Awesome story! I hope that this brings JJ some perspective that he is playing a game for a living that he has loved since he is a little kid himself. And that although all of this losing sucks, there are more important things in life than hockey.

Thanks for the story Matt.

On a side note, but a very good one at that. Anze made the all-star team this year. :-)

No matter how bad the Kings are, and they are lousy, the players year in and year out always put out their best efforts off the ice. Jack Johnson is following in the footsteps of past players like DT and Luc. The Kings are always a class act when it comes to serving the local community and now the international one.

At this point we should just sign the kid to a one-game contract. He is a defenseman and we could use the help back there.

wow, deelo, thanks for the laugh.

that's a great story. kudos to Johnson.
