Looks like the goalie rotation is over

A grimacing Crawford yanked Aubin after 26:05 and three goals. LaBarbera finished off the second period. Kings trail 3-2. Just setting it up for another third-period comeback!

Changed my mind, dump Aubin and obtain Raycroft.
Aubin has just been terrible tonight.

They should of grabbed Ilya Bryzgalov when they had the chance. The combo of LaBarbera and Bryzgalov would've been alot more intimidating to opponents.

Just an idea. I'd like to see the Kings go after Chris Osgood as he will be a free agent after this season. We lack consistent goaltending. About the game, they're playing with urgency. So that's good.

I love how some of you can praise this team and act like nothing is going wrong following a win, but as soon as they lose, the sky is falling. Listen folks, three or four wins in a row will not get this team in the playoff hunt. It would take an absolute reversal of the first half performance -- and then some -- for us to even think about it. As my good buddy Jim Mora once put it, "Playoffs?? You kidding me? Playoffs?? I just hope we can win a game!"

That said, it was nice to see that urgency once again, and aside from the final minute, it looked like this team was interested in getting some shots on net. Good effort overall, but Aubin was not sharp in this one. However, anyone who thinks Raycroft would fare any better needs to get his head checked, because there must be a Leafs fan hiding somewhere in there.

For the millionth time the Kings could not get Bryzgalov off waivers!!! Phoenix was behind the Kings in the standings at that point and got the first option. They took it. End of story.

Ilya Bryzgalov was never in the cards for us. The Coyotes had the pick sooner. All the teams ahead of us would have had to pass on him before we got a shot. No point in ever thinking we had a chance.

An open question, is it me or is Kopitar off his game? I seem to remember him getting hit a few times very hard a few games ago. He has not had that "flash" we have come to expect.

People are forgetting that the Kings could have had Bryzgalov from the Ducks for a conditional pick BEFORE he went on waivers. Burke was desperate to get SOMETHING for him before he was lost for nothing, and probably would have traded him to the Kings.

If I had a nickle for every freakin' misinformed Ilya Bryzgalov comment I have read on this Blog, I might be able to afford parking and a beer at Staples Center.

PLEASE: No more Bryzgalov comments here! And do your homework before bringing your piss & vinegar around these parts!

to jrm-

i agree. kopitar has looked pretty tentative for a few games now. i wonder if he's nursing an injury, or just battling a bit of a sophomore slump.

I don't like streaks. Winning or loosing. Even if we got alternate wins and losses we'd still be a .500 team. hehe.
