RICH HAMMOND

Rich Hammond has covered the Kings, on a full-time or part-time basis, since the 2000-01 season. He was the beat writer for the entire John Torchetti era and has witnessed Bob Miller singing country music in a Nashville honky-tonk bar. A native of Los Angeles, Rich has worked at the Daily News since 1999 and also serves as the paper's deputy sports editor.

Aubin officially sent down

The Kings should have an open spot on the roster now. Aubin was 5-6-1 with a .886 save percentage on the season. The Kings announced time changes to the March 1 game at Colorado, now a 5 p.m. Pacific start, and March 2 at Minnesota, now a 4 p.m. start.

Well Cloutier will get this one or in Columbus. I personally can't wait to hear the crowd at Staples if he ever gets a home start this year
