Thanks Matt, first the flu for a month, and then the news that Blake is back.Oh well back to the medicine cabinet for more pepto.

yea, I heard he'd be playing. hopefully he doesn't take a slapshot off the ankle or anything tonight. that would sure sting and possibly end his season...

good to have our captain back, now maybe our powerplay can get back on track

Marc Nathan said:

startling coincidence that the first game after the trading deadline, Blake miraculously gets taken off IR and should be in uniform tonight. Remeber when he got put on IR and Crawford said he'd be back on the day the Kings returned from the road trip. That didn't happen, did it :)

Screw Rob Blake... he's making the rules as he goes along!

All you Blake haters JUST CHILL. We already have a lot of draft picks, no sense of giving up a veteran leader who still got game as long as we have JMFJ. Just chill out, watch the hockey games. We still have one of the biggest defensemen who in my opinion can still blast the puck. So calm down, not the end of the world. 2 Picks in the 1st round is enough, don't get greedy. Just let the system process on its own, and stop telling DL what to do. He doesn't listen to a bunch of pricks who don't know wtf they are talking about. Yeah, I am a Kings fan, and what has Blake done to you. He gave you Adam DEADMARSH, unluckily injuries screwed his ass up. You still think that was a bad deal?

how the hell are we down 0-1 after like one minute?

MATT I THINK YOU WANT TO CHECK THIS SITE OUT.

Those Boys are right! We don't ask you for your opinions, just the facts, and you may be the reason we lose this site, cause of your negative attitude towards the Kings. I mean you do have the right of freedom of speech, but we don't want to lose this great information on our team, this is the only place we can get our information from the Kings. When I mean the only site, i mean the only site with Quotes, interviews, and stuff like that. I'm not trying to be mean, but please be more of a reporter than a blogger. We will criticize and you should write. Thanks Matt you are doing a good job, BUT please don't get the great info off of your hands and our hands. You could lose your Job hear with "Inside the Kings"

1 to 0 Oilers in 40 seconds. This is my last chance for Clouts, if bombs tonight I'll join the band wagon against him.

End of first 1-1, Kopitar with seconds left ties it, Brown the assist.
Kings D looks terrible. Oilers annoucers commented that they look they are standing around hoping the puck comes to them.

I was bummed when Blake was traded and hated him. But to me he's forgiven. He's a King forever and will go into the hall of fame and the jersey will go up on the wall. Time to get over it. I hope he comes back next year. Eat me.

I'm a life long King's fan and I can't believe the garbage coming out of some of you "so-called" Kings fans! A true fan doesn't bag on his team all the time. Blake might not be in his prime but he's a lot better than anything else we have!!

3-3, Dustin Brown (27) ties it at 10 min in the second!

2 sets of back to back goals in this period for the Oilers. First pair 1:01 apart and second pair 1:08 apart. Kings D is getting worse on each shift. 4 goals in this period for Oilers and you can't blame Clouts for all of it. JJ out of position on the 5th goal. 3 Kings players screening Clouts on the 4th goal. Great way to help him out.

Diehard, you have nothing to worry about in that respect. My expressing opinions isn't going to be the reason this blog dies. As I posted as a comment in the other thread, what goes in blogs is different than what makes the paper. Blogs have more opinions and try to encourage interaction. The interviews I get are because I'm one of the two beat writers covering the team, not because I do PR for the Kings. Lombardi and Crawford understand that the media doesn't always agree with everything they do. The Daily News will continue to have access to Kings players and personnel.

If I was a D man and I have Clouts as a goalie, I'll start playing as a goalie too. That shows how much confidence our D-men have on Clouts.

Thanks for your blog. I found great humor in your post today.

5-4 Oilers, Brown (28) scores shorthanded, a great shot!

Mr Kredell

Most of us are with ya 100%! Thanks for keeping this site alive and well!!

Matt, your post was right on the money. Someone has to be funny... Besides, if the Daily News isn't there to get interviews, it will be a pretty empty locker room.

Kings trying for another magic comeback. Kings net is empty with 1 minute left. Time out Kings with 40 seconds left.
Go Kings!

Kevco Author Profile Page said:

Well no magic tonight. Kings lose 5-4 thanks to our great defense. Nice game for Kopi, Brown and a great goal for Sully. Who will get 30 first Kopi or Brown? How about a poll Matt?
Thanks for the game Center Ice. Oiler TV crew very fair and honest. Still like Bob and Jim best.

Thanks for the play by play Kevco. Gotta get Center Ice next season.
I still say lackluster D is an indication of lack of faith on the netminder.

Thanks Matt, much appreciated!

Hey, all... before we condemn Matt for injecting his thoughts into the blog (hey, columnists get paid the big bucks to do the same in the paper), let's just hope he still has a job after Friday. The Daily News is about to cut jobs in the news gathering department. And no matter how successful he is at covering the team, being the fifth-rate team around the area that the Kings are...
