Blake interview

Basically, he skated on his own Wednesday then went out and tried to practice today. It went well and he lasted the whole way. He has a big pad in the skate. The foot wasn't that sore but the pad was uncomfortable and he hopes to get it smaller. He plans to practice a few more times and, barring any setbacks, he'll be ready to play by the middle of next week.

``It was all right. I’ve got a big pad in their right now. I’m hoping to get that a little smaller, kind of work its way down the next couple of days. The top of the skate digs in right where it was fractured. If I can get that part off, it will be pretty good.

``The MRI showed it’s healing. That’s why I was able to skate. There’s little stuff you can take care of as long as it doesn’t swell up again. That was the first time I really skated. I skated a little bit on my own Wednesday.''

On his intent going into practice: ``To kind of see how it was going. It wasn’t really that sore. A little uncomfortable with type padding I have in there right now but we can work with that.''

On the future:``I plan to practice for a few days here and hopefully be ready next week some time.
As long as there’s no setbacks -- and it feels fine when I took (the skate) off here just now.''

And to think that our brilliant GM was shopping Blake for:
A Player
A Prospect
1st round draft pick
And this
And a that

What a Lamo.

Mike, Blake has said he wants to stay with the Kings and that he has not yet been asked to waive his no-trade clause. SO WHAT HARD-BALL QUESTIONS DO YOU WANT HIM TO ANSWER?

Has everyone forgotten what Rob Blake has given this franchise over his career? he wants to finish his career in LA. we should cherish that right now. there are hundreds of NHL players that would despise putting on a kings uniform right now. he does... and he's getting crucified for it...

Matt,

Don't take the crap too seriously. You're providing a great service relatively inexpensively, so you gotta expect it. Keep up the great work!

Hey Matt, you think you can ask DL if he's looking into acquiring Marian Hossa?
