Harrold interview

He talks about his first NHL goal and being an offensive-minded defenseman.

On scoring his first goal: ``It was really cool. It’s kind of a milestone in every kid’s career. It’s one you’ll always remember.

``I may remember the whole game. To come back from 5-1 and tie with 13 seconds left, obviously it wasn’t the outcome you wanted but it was a memorable game and I really enjoyed myself.''

On being an offensive-minded defenseman: ``It’s interesting they put me and Lubo together because that’s what he does too, but you try to be responsible defensively. That’s the most important thing, what will keep you here. A lot of people can play offense but not everyone can play D. So that’s the thing I need to work on and be consistent at the most.''

I wonder if Crawford put Lubo with Harrold so Lubo will focus on the basics and his defensive responsibilites more and let Harrold carry the puck. As we all know he has been terrible defensively this year and he seems to be thinking too much on the ice and trying to do too much. Hopefully this pairing will calm him down, time will only tell if Crawford keeps them together for any length of time.

More likely he put them together so Harrold can watch Lubo first hand. Much like when Blake was younger and played with Coffey. Young guy holds down the fort and watches how it's done. IMO.

I think Goon Squad's right on this one.

this might help both of them... it really will force them to focus on their defensive responsibilities a lot more.

and in breaking news, peter forsberg is returning to the colorado avalnche. he is expected to suffer an injury within two weeks.
