Lombardi on Cloutier

| | Comments (11) |

``Cloutier went through all that rehab and started slow in Manchester but played well lately. It didn’t quite go as we might have hoped because he got hurt again and was on the shelf for six weeks. Obviously that set him back so I don’t know if I can say it went perfectly according to plan. It probably made sense to bring him up and give him another look. It just makes sense at this stage to see where his game is at. I don't think there's any question that this doesn't affect Jason's status as being viewed as the No. 1.''

Lombardi also said Crawford was talking about playing Cloutier in one of the back-to-back games this weekend with Pittsburgh on Saturday and Columbus on Sunday. He said Aubin would be with the team in Pittsburgh and then go to Manchester.

Yo' Mama is so ugly in goal, she actually made management believe that Inspector Cloutier would be the better option...

Yes it makes sense to try to salvage what little cridibilty I have left after this debacle and embarassment.

And I have news for Mr. DL. This indeed will affect the status as to who #1 goalie is.
Crawford will give his buddy Cloutier every opportunity to re-capture his form when he was somewhat descent in Vancouver.

It's becoming politics with the Kings organization now. How Sad.

I'm sure if he plays tonight in Detroit, he will be reminding the Red Wing faithful of Terry Sawchuk.....

Maybe the Kings should keep on sending Cloutier and Aubin up and down over and over again. Really give the waiver wire a workout.

ps: I hate 80s night in Detroit.

pps: Boo for being down 1-0 in the time that it took me to order my Papa John's pizze

Who cares about Cloutier. Management is going to do what they want regardless of what anyone else thinks. Let the chips fall where they may. A huge congrats to Dustin and Nicole Brown. We welcome little Jake Austin Brown into ouramy. GGob Nicole. You too Brownie!

My appologies. It should say we welcome little Jake Austin Brown into our family. Good job Nicole.

Brad Stuart is my player of the game...giving up his body on several blocks and generating some offense

Anthony you are right...partially. Having Cloutier up here could affect the number one status, but only if Cloutier makes the best of the opportunities he gets. Yeah yeah I have read how no one here thinks Clouts can be anything more than a bench warmer but hey how many people left Tim Thomas in Boston for dead and now look at him.

Cloutier's future in the NHL is in his hands. If he preforms well then he will have a future if not then he will more than likely have his contract bought out at the end of the season.

Wow did Lombardi do something to wrong Anthony in another life? Good Lord, the man was brought in to turn around one of the worst franchises in the league, you've got to give him a little bit of slack. And like somebody else on here said, their going to do whatever they want anyway. Deal with it.

Uh, Clouts playing well lately? Is Dl smoking something? I saw the Manchester game on Tuesday against the Mil. Admirals and he looked terrible. He had a great save but overall looked at best ok. The funny thing was that the crowd booed him when his name was announced.
