My thoughts on Blake injury

Crawford and the Kings spokesman both stressed that Blake will return for the next home game Feb. 15. This was a little odd. Usually, when a player is injured, they say the player ``will be out two weeks and then we'll re-evaluate.'' They don't usually give an exact date of the return. It seemed to me like something they would do to stress to Blake's suitors that he will be healthy and ready to go before the trade deadline. I do think that Blake really is injured and that they are shutting him down to get him healthy before the deadline.

As for Dallman and why he isn't taking Blake's place instead of Harrold. What I'm hearing is they want to keep Dallman in Manchester to get three games in from yesterday to Monday instead of just one game with the Kings. They sent him down to get games, so that makes sense. But we'll see if he comes back up after those three.

Damen, feel free to spend your time commenting somewhere else if you're not satisfied here.

Matt,

Interested take on Blake's injury. I agree it seems likely they are shutting him down as a precaution for potential trade partners. But I still I believe he is injured. However I don't mind seeing Harold on the ice in his place, but that's a whole other story...
