Calder down, Zeiler up

Kyle Calder suffered a broken finger in last night's victory over Dallas. He's headed back to Los Angeles and John Zeiler will take his place on the roster for Saturday's game at Dallas.

Oh no, I guess I better be ready. Here it comes.
But I'll save most of you guys the trouble.

I'll have to eat my shoe.
I'm a man of my word. Ugh.
But I'm not going to expect this recent call up to turn this season around.

Hey, what happened to Thornton. Last I checked, he wasn't on thr IR.

Is he just a constant scratch from the line up.
Is that what's normally done to an assistant captain. If so, can Crawfish start scratching the other Ass. "C". Lubo & Cammi.

Why couldn't it have been Kanko???

Still...I'm hoping that Dallas loses to us so their pick can fall into play...

Thornton is still injured... I saw him on the injury list yesterday which is updated daily (TSN I think). he's just not on IR

calling up Zeiler was telling - meaning "who can we spare in Manchester that won't cost us a playoff berth?!?". oh well it will be good to see him play his last games in a King uni finally. along with so many other stiffs

At least "Z" will bring a little energy to this sleepy group!

it's always a good read when coaches talk about their player's talent.

i am mildy surprised zeiler was not mentioned and disappointed that gauthier's name did not come up, since he seems to have no problem scoring in the ahl.

rich, would appreciate any insite you may have on gauthier.

John Zeiler signed a four-year contract today. (20 Jul 07). The first year is a two-way contract and he would make $525,000 at the NHL level. The second year is worth $550,000 and the third and fourth years are worth $600,000 each. So potentially it's a four-year, $2.275-million contract.

Again, what a waste of money and roster space.
The Kings have alot that.
