Manchester update
The Manchester Monarchs concluded their regular season Saturday and are now preparing for a first-round series against the Providence Bruins, starting Wednesday in Providence. The Monarchs finished with 88 points, good for fourth in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division, while the Bruins finished first with 117 points.
Here's the series schedule. I found it interesting that the series goes 2-2-2-1. Providence gets four of the first six games at home, but the seventh game would be at Manchester. Interesting setup...
Game 1 - Wed., Apr. 16 - Manchester at Providence
Game 2 - Fri., Apr. 18 - Manchester at Providence
Game 3 - Sat., Apr. 19 - Providence at Manchester
Game 4 - Mon., Apr. 21 - Providence at Manchester
*Game 5 - Fri., Apr. 25 - Manchester at Providence
*Game 6 - Sat., Apr. 26 - Manchester at Providence
*Game 7 - Mon., Apr. 28 - Providence at Manchester
Here's today's story from the Union Leader:

Rich Hammond has covered the Kings, on a full-time or part-time basis, since the 2000-01 season. He was the beat writer for the entire John Torchetti era and has witnessed Bob Miller singing country music in a Nashville honky-tonk bar. A native of Los Angeles, Rich has worked at the Daily News since 1999 and also serves as the paper's deputy sports editor. E-mail Rich at
Jill Painter joined the Daily News in 2000 and during the last eight years she's covered the Dodgers, Cal State Northridge, UCLA, Kings, golf and everything in between. Even though she's from Colorado, she still freezes in the Staples Center press box but always manages to thaw her fingers in time to make deadline. E-mail Jill at

Apparently... The circus is in town.
Yep, that's right. They had to change the schedule because Providence is hosting the circus that last night.
Congrats to the Monarchs for making the playoffs. Best of luck and here's hoping for a long playoff run boys !

Are the games televised? Internet perhaps?
Are the games televised? Internet perhaps?
You can buy them, I believe it's 6 bucks a game or so.
The games are aired through b2.
But the quality is pretty questionable, and at 6 bucks a pop...
all the games will be on B2, the internet network.
go to www.theahl.com & the link should be there on game days.
B2 networks shows the games online for a few bucks a game (I believe its like 6 or 8 a game)- they show the game on their schedule. http://www.b2livetv.com/?v=Hockey
