OK I agree Canada i goign to be good for Cammi. Seens like he got a little side tracked in LA.

But LA totally got the better deal in this. Cammi is asking alot of money and now LA is going to get another strong prospect.

Not sure how i feel about this one yet. Jury's still out. I wanted Cammi traded. Was hoping for a young NHL d-man. So we basically traded Cammi and the 28th pick for the 12 pick. I hope DL's able to nab their man, or even flip it again for a higher pick....guess we'll wait and see...

this sucks...Cammi is a proven top 6 forward in this league and we don't even get an established Dman for him. You guys that don't like Cammi have never provided any good reasons...and will regret this trade!

He was well on his way to being the Captain of the Kings and he was going to be a point a game guy when healthy... thus a POINT-A-GAME Leader.

It's not good value... I hope we get a stud with #12. We'd better! I KNOW what Cammalleri can do.

I think Cammi's value around here was a bit overrated. It's obvious DL wanted to grab someone in the top 15 and made the deal.

Sorry anti Anthony fans but I like his joke. And I like the trade. No doubt Cammi will have a great year next year in Calgary, but that doesn't mean he would have had a great year here. Good luck to him, but we've got some great young guys coming along.

It's great that we now hold the 2th and 12th but what the hell. Why didn't we get the 12th and a player for Cammi. One of our top forwards and our leading scorer from two seasons ago.

this is a stupid trade. why do you trade two first round pick to get one first round. you only move up 5 spot to get the pick why don't Dean trade the second round pick with the 17th overall to get the 12 pick overall.

A slight overpayment in the upgrade in picks... I WAS hoping for at least a defenseman to go with it...

We got the 12th pick in this promising draft, hopefully Tyler Myers, Calgary got a point a game guy for one season, everyone needs to remember Cammy is UFA after next season, without an extention in place, he was going to the open market...I'll miss Cammy dispite all the haters, but this is an okay trade...I wish we got a little more in return, but if we get our guy, I'll be stoked

You may be right, but do you want this guy for 5-6 million a year because that is what he is going to be asking for after this year.

Cammy was not happy here and would not have resigned. It seemed as though he was not a good fit with the other younger players.I used to think he was "THE MAN". So why all the talk in the league about trading a high value asset.Answer he must have been some sort of "cancer" for the team! Deano is no Idiot and neither is Sutter. Thats why we had to package him with some picks. We keep him and he doesnt resign in'09'or we free up some $ for Kopi, Sully, Jack or Bernier. IMO great move.

I feel that we could have gotten more for Cammi. Like him or not, you have to admit that he shows great potential for being a great leader and he's proven his scoring ability, and like I've said before, I'd rather have somebody shoot the puck on a team that is real shy on shooting the puck. This guy Toelbert(#12) though sounds like someone we desperately need for this team. I think what DL was aiming for is some room for the salary cap. Rich did say that we're on the hook w/ Cloutier if he's bought out. Or did I misinterpret that?

I'm disappointed in how little we got for him, really. We should have gotten a player on top of what we got, I'd say.

don't you guys get it! the kings need defense in a bad way...scoring wasn't a proplem for the kings...and since cammy was most likely go to walk away from the kings after the season was over...it was best to move him now and grab another d-man in this draft...smart move on DL's part.
