Cloutier waived

Dan Cloutier has been placed on waivers. If no team picks him up (highly unlikely), he can (and will) be bought out. This is the news that has been expected for a while.

I sure hope that Inspector Cloutier has Versus or NHL Network in his Super-8 motel room so that he can stay up-to-date with the news!

Thank God. Best news I've heard in awhile. Today is going to be a good day for the Kings.

Thank you for your stay at the spacious Beachball 6... And don't forget...we'll always leave the goal light on for you...

Since Ray Emery was also put on waivers if the Kings decide to pick him up are we responsible for half of his salary just this season or is it for his whole contract?

Uh, maybe Cloutier and Marc Crawford can tip a Moulson together while they watch the draft today? Of course, with the money the Kings are paying (and will still be paying) these two, they could open up a distributorship someplace.

Nuts, I was really hoping we could have used him to move up in the draft this year.

So much for haning his jersey at the Staples Center.

Thank you Dan for trying to give it all you had. Regardless of some of the senseless sarcasm on this blog, you were a class act, a positive influence in the lockeroom and with the young goaltenders in the organization. You never let your difficulties between the pipes show in the media, with management or with other members of the team.

Thank you for giving all you could give. May you be blessed with good fortune in your future endeavors.

Rich,
Are you saying its highly likely or unlikely that someone will pick up Dan "throw you under the bus" Cloutier?
I think there is no way anyone will pick him up.
What happens to him if(when) he's bought out?
Can he then sign with another NHL team with a new contract in addition to what he's freeloafing?

Moondoggie,

your half right. Cloutier never talked about his goaltending woes in the media... he was too busy whining about hotel rooms.

No Cloutier = New leaf turned over.

I pray someone is silly enough to pick him up off waivers.
