Good job DL.
I can live that.
I'm ecstatic that its not Bogosian.
He would have been bad news.

Bob McKenzie: "He's got a level of hockey sense that cannot be measured. His smarts are off the scale. Doughty is an offensive player, but his defence is under-rated. This is a guy that will absolutely be in the NHL next year."

Now trade the 12th & a 2nd or 3rd for the 5th overall and grab Schenn. Do it Deano. I'd be very, VERY happy with that.

Johnson/Doughty
Hickey/Schenn

Oh my!!

I can't believe how CERTAIN the commentators were that Doughty will be in the line up NEXT SEASON!

Johnson
Doughty
Hickey

I hope we can land Schenn somehow, but I can't complain with what we have at the moment.

God this kid is impressing me! He says all the right things. I cannot ever remember someone in the draft campaigning so hard for a particular team, especially when that team is (lets face it) not held in the highest regard in the sports world!
I also love that he is working so hard to make the team next year! I think he'll make it, but if he doesn't I hope it doesn't set him back. I don't think it will, in fact, he strikes me as the type that would work even harder to get there.
DL, best Kings draft in history thus far? only time will tell.
I am so excited about the future. I wish the season started tomorrow!

Great pick (obviously), I too enjoyed Bob McKenzie saying that he WILL play next year.
