Kings acquire Brad Richardson
The Kings traded their 61st overall pick to Colorado for center Brad Richardson. Richardson, 23, has spent parts of the past three seasons with the Avalanche. He had two goals and three assists in 22 games last season.

Here comes the cup
this is the missing piece
Hmmmm ... not 100 percent sure of this one yet. Not even 75 percent sure. BR has some proving to do after a tough injury-filled and overall non-productive 07-08. Kinds resembles the still-in-progress "Calder revival" project? Hope we're all wrong about this 5th rounder being traded for a 2nd rounder.
ask a colorado fan what they think of J.Q.'s use of Richardson and you might see this as a nice pick up for DL.

I too got excited for a moment and then was momentarily confused knowing that Brad Richards wasn't with the Avs.
What is the upside of this acquistion? We work hard to get all these picks - and give up a second rounder for ... what looks like a 23 year old project. However, we fans don't know it all - what is the upside on this guy? Can our colorado fan tell us?
Is he really worth a 2nd Round pick? Not sure on this one....
