Kings trade pick
The Kings traded the final pick of the second round (61st overall) to Colorado, which took goalie Peter Delmas. I'll try to find the trade details ASAP.

Maybe it was not the 2nd overall pick for Malkin. Maybe it was the 2nd ROUND pick for Malkin. The rumors were true !
I have heard for years of how deep this draft is and how many picks we have had. Now we are trading them all. I am a little confused with what going on here.
Personally I hope its for Sakic!
Trading them all? We've picked up enough to off set the one just traded...not really a big deal. Actually, if my calculations are correct, we are +1 right now.
concerned fan ... no need to be. One of the things that DL is doing is securing draft picks for the next few years. building a "core" is not a one year / one draft endeavor. There are so many intangibles in hockey and contracts that a GM must have options and plan for the future - something previous Kings admins did not quite have the foresight for. He has already secured a few picks in next years draft which, as many of you already know, will have some great prospects as well. Don't be "nervous" ... this has been a good (if not great) draft for the kings and DL is making sure that next year's will be too.
