More on the trade
It seems as though the Kings also gave up their No. 48 second-round pick, to Calgary, and got a second-round pick in next year's draft.

Once again... we give you 28, 48 and a proven scorer for 12 and another team's second NEXT YEAR.
That's an awful lot.
I like this trade. Cammy wasn't going to sign a long-term deal with us so we would have traded him at the deadline next season. We move up 16 places in a strong draft in exchange for 50 games from Cammy next season plus whatever we could have received from him at the deadline.
Hmm.
Don't get me wrong. I'm happy to see him go.
There's no way he would have re-signed here.
But I was hoping that wee would have received a solid D-Man as well.
Lets see what DL does with #12.
Trade that and move up.
And if in those 50 games Cammalleri has 20 goals...(he had 10 goals in 10 games last season before injury) you could have gotten WAY more than you got now. DL panicked a bit, I'm sorry... poor value.
