Can somebody explain to me what the HELL this trade accomplishes.
I mean, we went from signing Brad Stuart to this.

And whatever happened to rebuilding and getting younger.
We just traded two 22 year old for a 31 year old.

If he was put on waivers why didn't we just pick him up? Why did we have to give up anyone?

What the ! We traded for a guy who was on waivers ?

Nevermind I didn't read the 2nd round pick that went along with it.

I post my first and last name because I think I'm really important. said:

decent move, picking up the second is the best part.

Goat will fill a spot in the big club's 7, and will scare the crap out of people along with Greene. Tough blueline, if they can play some actual solid defense remains to be seen.

Wow ... finally! Now we have a replacement for Visnovsky. He's also 31.

Would rather have had Stuart, but this will do. Adds much needed toughness, even with the visor.

If he was on waivers, couldn't they have gotten him for almost nothing.
What's this guy smoking.

It is nice to have a site that stays up during high traffic days like today. Thanks Rich!

Patrik Hersely was supposed to be a solid D-man from what I understood.

Regardless, I'm 100% behind DL.

Anthony, WE GOT A SECOND ROUND PICK AND A ROSTER PLAYER.

Strange deal. I don't know much about Denis Gauthier, but I wonder if this was more of a cleaning house move than a plan B for Stuart. With all of their new players being added to the fold from this year's draft, perhaps Dean thought it wise to at least get something for the players who were dropping down on the depth chart?

Anthony... is being first so important that you mouth off before thinking. Hersley and Lukacevic will probably never be in the NHL. Kings got a 2nd and improved their toughness in either LA or Manchester for 2 contracts that probably wont pan out. It;s a salary dump for Philly but we got a nice pick and free'd up 2 contracts.

Think about things before you start freaking out. Step away from theledge already!

anonymous...love the visor comment. guess this means avery won't be coming back to LA. however, gauthier will have ample opportunities to concuss JR.

Ok, so we have Stoll and Gautheir. We must sign Avery now to really make that chemistry gel!
