Did somebody say overpaid?

TSN just made a great point. Over the last 3 years, 75 percent of the deals gone down have been classified as being "poor to really bad". Look at last year, when the Kings signed Nagy, Handzus, Preissing, Calder and Stuart. One of the five was a good deal. The other 4 were poor. Now, for that reason alone, I'm glad the Kings have done nothing. Plus you see teams throwing out huge money over long years, and I bet half these player will be bought out in 2-3 years. I love it.

How can the Rags even afford this?

I'm not so sure I would love this that much Ryan. This over spending sets a terrible bar. I mean how much is it going to cost us to keep Kopitar and Johnson around?
When we have all this youth together at the same time their contracts tend to expire within one or two years of each other. That's a good core of guys to have to resign at these now established bloated contracts.
Also do the Rangers even have any prospects or farm system? They just keep giving out fat contracts and taking everyone else's players. I'm sure they'll be waiting down the road to overpay one of our youngsters.

Sure glad I'm not a season seat holder any longer, between food, gas and season seats I'd be standing out on the corner with a sign.
