that's not a bad siging, but for a 35-year old, it is kinda long.

Rolston fits perfectly with the devils and the way they play the trap. He is just fast enough to play that style of hockey. I would have used my GM Balls on something else - like signed Blake to another 6 mill a year contract to just piss anthony off lol
Thanks a lot Andre.
And I thought we were friends.
I loved Rolston from his first stint as a Devil. He definitely filled two needs: top 6 forward and a cannon from the point on the PP.
5 mil/year is pretty steep, but that's gonna happen with a 56 million dollar cap. Giving four years to a 35 year old is definitely scary though.
At least Rolston got his final payday. He was one of the few guys (along with Craig Conroy) who signed a longterm deal during the 2004 offseason. Those guys kinda got screwed as the union had to accept a 24% paycut to end the lockout. Most players didn't care since they didn't have contracts.
dude's gonna play until he's 40? wow... I assume that just means the Devils wanted to lock him up for the rest of his career, however long that might be. more likely 2 or 3 I would think. he'll be 36 in the middle of this season (Feb 21).
