$4 mill. for Streit? Wow, this is getting out of hand now.
Really? This is insane. The millions being thrown around is crazy.
Wow, never even heard of this guy. So, he's 32, only three years in the league. Looks like he's had one good year and that justifies a 5 year contract at 4-mill per. GOOD GOD.
i almost spit out my nectorine! wtf is going on with this league.
thanks bettman.
Blake probably thinks he can still squeeze $3.5 or $4 mil out of DL.

Heh. Try $5 million.
Since the Kings are not signing anybody..The Kings will give Blake like 5.5-6 mill. to come close the floor
Who the F$%& is MARK STREIT????????
WTF....My feelings exactly....The market went bizerk today...No wonder DL wasn't a player, he could see this coming, especially after last year....
Rich, I know you're worn out from today...Any ideas when you'll have DL's thoughts and comments? It would be interesting to hear his thoughts on an especially odd UFA day....
Spot on, Moondoggie. GMs were getting stuck on stupid today with the money tossed around. This time next year we should see some of those big deals thrown under the bus as teams realize they have no cap room.
Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if Solomon and Sully's agent agreed to let the dust clear and see where the market settled so a rational deal can be worked out to keep him in LA at a price everyone can agree was fair. (I am an optimist after all). Rich, if you talk to Dean, please impress upon him how important it is to the fans that he get a deal done with Sully. I made this pitch to Luc at the Draft Party, and I got the impression he understood--and that I wasn't the only one who had said something that afternoon/evening about getting the core players signed.
