Washington has signed goalie Jose Theodore to a two-year contract, at $4.5 million per season. Phoenix has signed defenseman Kurt Sauer to a four-year contract worth $1.75 million per season.

Actually, Theodore signing in Washington means that Huet is still available. Could he make a return to L.A.? Could that be the other shoe to drop in the Visnovsky deal (making more cap room)?

I'm not holding my breath, but I can hold out hope. ;)

I would keep an eye on Huet. If you look over the other NHL teams, everybody has an established #1 goalie except the Kings. His best chance to be a starter would be here.
