How they skated

It’s premature to read anything into this at this point, but I thought people would be curious to see how the players skated today. If there are any corrections to be made, let me know, but I think I was able to capture the way the Kings skated in their scrimmages today…

This is alot of players, even for two teams in different cities on the same night. Any chance you heard when they plan to make first cuts?

And was there a suprise standout for you today?

Thanks Rich, very cool to know who was skating with who. Maybe we can gleen something from it. It seems Wayne Simmonds and Oscar Moller have been paired together since the development camp through rookie camp, rookie games and now into training camp. It’s a shame they can’t both play in the AHL together this year!

Drew Doughty and Denis Gauthier = What we will probably see a lot of this season if we don’t get another dman.

I hope they try Frolov and Purcell at some point. But then again Moulson, Stoll, Purcell could be a real line combo if Handsuz or Boyle plays up to the second line.

Considering that this is full blown training camp, and there aren’t any dman missing or injured… it’s sad how greatly outnumbered NHL dmen are by rookie/AHL dmen. For some reason looking at those line-ups really made that sink in more than it did during the summer.

Why is Werner skating as a forward?

Team Quinn and I hate that name after what Pat did to the Kings, seems to be the meat and potatoes team. They all bring their lunchpail….

John Zieler on a first first line, even in camp that’s scary!

Can’t wait for next Saturday in Las Vegas! Very interested to see who gets to go and who gets cut. I wonder if we have POS by then, I sure hope so.
