Wow. I thought they were bringing their best squad to KC but Kopitar, Brown, Frolov, Johnson etc at Staples Center certainly gives them the edge.
No Loktionov?
No Bud Holloway??
Wow, looking at those rosters, I'm sure glad that I didn't drive up to KC for that game.
Does anybody know of any radio/ tv/ webcast of these games??
lakings.com says Kings vs. Blues from KC on their home page with the listen feature. I thought I read on this site or elsewhere that Nick and Daryl are doing that game so I assume no local radio for the home game. I can't tell from Phoenix's website off hand if they stream their radio.
How long do you guys think it will take for POS to sign after Scott Parse nets a hat trick tonight?
Parse is 6'1" and fills out the front line much nicer than POS. POS may be gambling with his future by not getting in camp soon.
I think the reason the Kings are keeping guys like Kopitar, Brown, Frolov, Ivanans, and LaBarbera in Los Angeles is because that game is against the Coyotes. The other game is against the Blues. During the regular season, the Kings will play Phoenix six times and St. Louis four times. Therefore, it makes sense to me that those guys would stay around because it would help them more in the head-to-head matchups during the regular season if the NHL players play against the team they are going to face more often.
Another possibility is simply that Murray didn't want to throw them on a plane to Kansas City, when Staples Center is very close to the training center, meaning they can practice at their normal facility on Tuesday.
