Good deal. He will still be RFA by the end, correct?
Rich, is this a two-way contract.
i think this is a great signing. i really think he will help our pk and he is (relatively) cheap at 575k and 600k over the next 2 years.
yeah i think he can help with the pk and even fill out the 4th line duties. it's most likely he'll move over to left wing, since the kings are pretty much set in the center position, especially if boyle makes the team. if my count is correct, the kings are now about $5.156 mil under the basement. but keep in mind i didn't peter harrold's new contract numbers since they are still unknown. however if you combine that and sully's inevitable re-signing, that should push the kings over the salary basement.
If Richardson makes the team over Boyle I will be pissed. Boyle is a better talent then Purcell and unlike Purcell can actually fore check and hit.
this last comment from anonymous again makes my point that some people are just tied to players rather than the team. I have said this before. why would anyone be pissed if the guy who plays the best at camp makes the team? don't we want the best guys on the ice? i like boyle. i think he was a stud during his short stint last season. i thought they should have kept him up. but again, if richardson outplays boyle in camp and turns out to be our best 3rd or 4th line centerman, why would anyone be pissed? i don't get it. i want the kings to win.
Who cares?
What about O'Sullivan?
jediknight329: Wise you are.
