Brian Boyle wore #22 during last year's NHL games and still has that # on Kings web. He wears #71 in camp?

Brady Murray wore #15 opening night last year. (Richardson took his #.) Now #68 in 2008 camp. Ouch.

Moulson wore #28 last season, now #70. Stoll took #28. Impressive #. Nuff said.

I think Boyle will definitely be wearing #22... no question.

observing the development camp rosters etc, it seems that they like to keep the rookies wearing 60-70-80s to keep it more organized and tell who's who. think of it as a temporary assignment, but I don't think they want to automatically "award" him a roster spot by assigning him a real number this early in 08-09. make each youngster work for it even though we all know he'll be there on opening night.

it's almost becoming a question of, why even have Patty O. on the roster if there's no contract. I'm desperately trying to remember how this went in years past, I can't assume he'd show up without one. I'm sure it'll get done but that's starting to really stick out more.

the only other question I have is, will the Kings have their first American captain this year by turning the C over to Mr. Brown...
