The Kings and Fox Sports WEST added Kings Vision host Heidi Androl to select Kings telecasts on Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET broadcasts this season. Androl will serve as a roving reporting during Kings home games.
Here's the press release:

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings and Fox Sports WEST today announced that Kings Vision host Heidi Androl will join Kings telecasts on Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET for select broadcasts this season. Kings Vision is the on-line video network for LAKings.com, the club's official website.

Androl will serve as a Roving Reporter during all Kings televised home games on the regional sports network. As Roving Reporter, she will leverage her status as a team insider to provide a fan's perspective on team rituals and the players' lives on and off the ice. Last season Androl worked on several Kings telecasts for LAKings.com as she debuted Kings Vision video feature packages in-between periods.

"Heidi continues to excel in her role with our organization and we are excited to add her to our outstanding broadcast team," said Kings President, Business Operations Luc Robitaille. "We expect Heidi to bring a fresh perspective to our nightly telecasts."

Said Fox Sports WEST Executive Producer Tom Feuer: "Heidi adds another dimension and a different context by which to view our Kings coverage. Her insight and enthusiasm for the team and its players should elevate our broadcasts -- and we welcome her to the Kings telecast coverage team."

Kings television play-by-play announcer Bob Miller and color commentator Jim Fox return to broadcast Kings games this season. Miller returns for his 36th season as the television "Voice of the Kings" and Fox, the former Kings forward, is entering his 19th season as the club's television color commentator. D'Aulaire Louwerse will begin his second season on Kings telecasts, serving as the producer, and Mike Hassan will again direct the telecasts, a position he has held since 1995.

Including the season and home openers, three more Kings games - the three Kings-Anaheim Ducks Freeway Face-Off games at the Honda Center -- will be telecast by PRIME TICKET for a total of 68 regular season Kings games to be broadcast on Fox Sports WEST/PRIME TICKET.

The Kings travel to San Jose on Friday afternoon to open their 2008-09 regular season schedule on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK 1150 AM and along the Kings Radio Network. Androl makes her season debut at STAPLES Center on Sunday when the Kings host the Sharks at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK 1150 AM and along the Kings Radio Network.

Does she replace Patrick O'Neil? I liked him, but Heidi is super smokin' and a pretty good reporter. WIN WIN!!!

Cool! Heidi seemed to get more comfortable as the season progressed last year. I'm sure she'll do a great job. And she's a babe. Can't forget that.

O'Neil is a douche. I blame him for single-handedly jinxing Cammy last season...not that it matters now.

I like the pieces she does but that roving reporter thing takes away from the game unless they're reporting on an injury or something. You don't need a bunch of people to call a game properly.

The more we see of Heidi the better the season will be. Just the move that pushes me to by that new HD big screen.

O'Neil was also responsible for a few bad penalties last year

Welcome Heidi! As far as O'Neil goes I liked him and hope he's back. It's the other guy w/ 2 inches of pancake makeup I couldn't stand. He's easily replaceable and I hope he was.

oh my... ready for prime time? uhh, sure, if you say so.

I still say Heidi Android accidentally gets a drop of water on her between periods, and short circuits, but that's just one observer's prediction. remains to be seen.

I do agree O'Neil was quite boring and didn't really add anything to the telecast. so at least that's something
