Game update
Down in Anaheim, the Kings and Ducks are tied 2-2 after two periods. The Ducks are playing more of a NHL lineup -- Pronger, Niedermayer, Selanne, etc. -- while the Kings are a bit younger than last night. Pronger scored 59 seconds into the game for the only goal of the first period. Michal Handzus and Brian Boyle scored power-play goals in the second period to give the Kings a 2-1 lead and Chris Kunitz scored a power-play goal with 6:20 remaining to tie it. Erik Ersberg played the first two periods in goal and stopped 19 of 21 shots. J.S. Giguere has stopped 18 of 20.

You replaced 5 forwards, 2 of whom had never played an NHL game with 5 forwards that have all played in the NHL for a few seasons or more.
You replaced 4 defensemen, 2 of whom had never played in an NHL game, 1 of whom has not spent a full season in the NHL and 1 of whom spent all year last year in the AHL with 2 NHL regular defensemen, 1 second year pro (who has more pro experience than either of the other two) and a rookie.
Seems like they actually were a bit more NHL experienced TONIGHT. No?
Ersberg gave a lot of rebound chances for the Ducks tonite.
Ersberg looked very good tonight...Doughty was also amazing. I was sitting a couple of rows off the ice tonight, the Kings looked very good.
Let me rephrase that, Ersberg was making some great saves when it mattered most, but yes, he did have a few rebound-control issues.
"The Kings looked very good."
All of them looked good? Is Ersberg hotter than the others? I mean, you are JJ's girl, right? I guess he doesn't mind. JMFJ, you dirty dog!
Marc Nathan: interesting breakdown. thanks! looks like you're right.
Very mature, wavesinair.
Do I really need to rephrase just for you? Apparently.
"The Kings played good tonight....Doughty was amazing. I was sitting a couple of rows off the ice tonight, and the Kings played very well."
It's all in good fun! As for maturity, well... 99% of men think that way.
