Great game.

Ducks look like they are living in the past.

the kings looked great. it's kind of crazy to see the kings actually killing penalties. it was also really nice to see a bunch of different guys on the team get on the board tonight.

Looks like the Ducks dirty play really bit them in the ass tonight. My favorite moment of the game was when Gauthier gave Getzlaf a little face full of Ice. The guys are really standing up for eachother.

lots of mistakes early in the game, few turnovers and soft goals.

But, ducks flat out played worse. They made mistakes and took penalties and we punished them, exactly what we needed to do.

Perfect on the PK is awesome.

Brown's hit turned the game around. He should have been the 1st star for that alone.
Zeus is living up to his name.
The fourth line is a little weak defensively.
But our blueliners still looked better than the Ducks even without JJ and Dou.

Rich,

please tell the brass that that ice-level cam has either got to be raised (the height of the end boards glass would be much better) or it has got to be scrapped all together.

Great goal by Moulson. I thought the hustle by Stoll, Brownie and Moulson was a perfect example of just what the Kings need to do all the time.

A solid 60:00 that sure took the sting out of the unpleasantries from Fenway Park.

Man do the Ducks suck. Kinda surprising; and they've got Niedermeier & Selanne already; could be a long season for them. HA HA HA. Kings play pretty mediocre, but still swacked 'em. That's how bad the quackers are.

King's PK by far the best thing going for them. Most of the kills were good, clean kills, i.e. few "just missed" opportunities.

Barbs looked very average; scrambly and a bit lucky the Ducks couldn't get the puck on their stick when the goal mouth was wide, WIDE open.

Kopitar (whose jersey I have) is a bit schizo right now. You can see him pressing at times, that contract and the "A" are weighing on him. But other times, he's way too passive. Esp. on the 5-3. Doesn't look like a threat at all way down low, never moving with the puck either to the net or up the wall to change the angle. His assists were nothing special; it's not like he made a great play to open someone else up. C'mon Kopi, look at Sully. Make something happen, you're better than this.

Sean O'D, man are we lucky to have him this game. He was very solid. Seemed to be holding the D together. He and Preissing were tonight's un-sung heroes.

For all you Peter Harrold fans out there, did you count all of his bad passes and turnovers? Me neither, but I've only got ten fingers. Just terrible. (Great hit in the corner though.)

Jet is right, Brownie's hit turned the game. Big play in the game, and problably will go down as a big play in the season as this was a game that seemed to bring the team together on the ice (lots of fighting for each other), got the 0-2 off their back with a victory, and against their rival. Little things shape teams and seasons.

Off the ice, maybe it was just my Center Ice production of the the game, but the TV feed was awful with constant static and the picture freezing up. Did anyone else get this?

Attendance was only 14thou + ? Against the Ducks?! Let's go fans! Let's go Kings!! And way to go Wayne Simmonds!!!

Kings played great. Beyond expectations. This team plays hard, and that's all one can ask. Looks like they've got some talent too. There were some mistakes but you could heap some praise on all them too. Harold played well. Dumped Parros on one play. O'Donnell and Preissing were both very solid. Like the overall team defense--best I've seen in years so far.

Harrold: Yes, I saw the turnovers, but give him a few games to calm down. The Parros hit was nice.

Handzus: excellent. Some good hits. TWICE screening the goalie on goals. He's HOLMSTROM! (I'm only half-kidding.)

Moller: he's like two feet shorter than Pronger and still hitting him and generally giving him sh*t. He's the best player on the ice who didn't score, and better than some who did.

Gauthier: yeah, okay, got beat by Selanne. But the double-minor was great. I thought he played well.

Preissing: another great game.

Stoll: nice shot.

Moulson: ditto.

Simmonds: well done. I loved his comment about not playing against boys anymore.

First Period Labarbera: blegh.

Third Period Labarbera: Ken Dryden.

Greene: I don't like the nickname "Greener." He's playing his ass off though.

POS: getting his legs.

Doughty: I actually shouted "YES! THE FLU!!" My wife's like, "what the hell is the matter with you?"

Armstrong: I like the new angry/chippy Armstrong. The guy is fighting for his life, and winning.

Quisp, good point about Army fighting for his life (or at least a roster spot). His leadership presence is important, but he's being outplayed by at least a couple rookies. Hopefully this will motivate him, otherwise, his minutes will continue to drop. As much as I support him, I'm glad the days of Army: 2nd Line Center are OVER.

Harrold Sucks. I am sorry this guy is going to get us into trouble. He cannot play without a real solid partner, and should not play PP or PK. I want Alec Martinez, or Hickey, or Quincey, or somebody pleasE!!

Iwas watching it on center ice as well. Comcast only showed the ice level camera. it wsa TERRIBLE. it was like watching a game oin the radio, if that makes sense...Blue cllar victory tonight. Labarbera was baaaad. selanne gets the puck on his stick with 2:30 to go and a wide open net, its probly a different scenario.

Quincey will play with Greene until Johnson is back, and then replace Gauthier, and Harrold will be sent back and traded later this year IMHO. Get Preissing off the PP!! I guess we dont have many options there......
