Practice report

The Kings changed things around a bit today with the lines. Here's how they skated...

Purcell-Kopitar-Brown
Frolov-Stoll-Moulson
Simmonds-Handzus-Richardson
Boyle-Armstrong-Ivanans
Calder-Moller-Westgarth

Not sure exactly what to make of it. Moller had been skating with the top guys of late and Purcell got a chance today. The Kings are definitely still taking a long look at Moller but they seem a little uncertain about whether he's better suited at center or wing.

The defense pairs were Johnson-Greene, O'Donnell-Doughty, Gauthier-Preissing, and frankly that's how I would expect them to look when the season starts. The other dedicated pairing was Harrold-Piskula. That's probably not great news for guys such as Thomas Hickey and Alec Martinez.

Cuts are expected later today...

One of a very few Kings fans at the practice this morning. I counted three people seated in the stands.

Would you mind updating us as to what's going on with John Zeiler? Is he injured? What's the story.

Thanks.

Hmmm...Boyle on the 4th line...as a wing.

Not to sound like a broken record Rich, but any O'Sullivan rumblings today? I'm sure you're already chasing this but I figured I'd be the first to ask (this hour). Thanks for the reports.

Purcell looked great against the duckies the other night, barring any injuries I predict him to have a "P.O'S" type year...(you know like last year, back when he actually played!)

What do you think of the Johnson/Greene pairing? I have not been impressed and thought he was better with Preissing or Doughty.
