End of first period

No score.

The Kings spent almost six consecutive minutes on the power play, had eight power-play shots in the period and outshot the Ducks 14-6 but couldn’t get on the board.

Drew Doughty played 10 minutes, 6 seconds of that period.

Let’s face it. Any group of borderline NHL players can be gathered together and compelled to play a strong defensive hockey game. In the most Elite Hockey league on the planet, you need to be able to score goals, and you should put a beautiful scoring play together at least once a game. Right now the bulk of LA’s goals are deflections off skates and rebounds. I’d like to see them string 3 passes together and bury the fooking puck, already.
